Warren, Ohio - For the second consecutive year, Oklahoma Christian men's golf is set to make a run at a national championship at the NCAA DII Men's Golf Championship. This year's event is hosted by the Mountain East Conference and Avalon Lakes at the Grand Resort in Warren, Ohio.
The Eagles return after a national runner-up finish at last year's NCAA Championship in Dearborn, Michigan, where Lee took the title. Lee returns its core, and so does OC, who will tee off tomorrow morning with the five that have started all year.
Exequiel Rodriguez,
Alejandro Armijo,
Oskari Nikku, and
Mateo Pulcini each return to the Men's Golf Championships, and
Santiago Villareal will make his first appearance on the biggest stage in college golf.
Villareal will lead Oklahoma Christian out of the clubhouse, teeing off at 7:30 a.m. Eastern time, followed by Nikku at 7:41, Pulcini at 7:52, Armijo at 8:03, and Rodriguez at 8:14.
Nineteen teams and eight individuals will join OC in the opening rounds of the 54-hole event, 18 on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning. The first three rounds will determine the individual champion, and the top eight teams will begin medal play to decide the 2023 National Champion.
