Indianapolis, Ind. - History made by Eagles swimming tonight by a men's relay team and Cheyenne Denison, making the podium in Indy.
 
Cheyenne Denison became the first women's swimmer in Oklahoma Christian history to make the NCAA DII Swimming and Diving Championships podium. Denison did so in the Women's 200 Yard Butterfly, with a time of 2:01.98. By finishing in the top eight, Cheyenne became the first female First Team All-America swimmer in OC history.
 
JT Amrein added to his All-America collection after he took sixth place in the Men's 100 Yard Breaststroke. Amrein's time of 53.24 was less than a second off the first-place time, and the swim added 12.5 points to OC's total.
 
Felix Berling also competed in the 100 Breaststroke and finished with a time of 54.92.
 
Victor Rosado continued his incredible week with a third-place finish in the 500 Yard Freestyle. His time of 4:19.45 earned 16 points toward the Eagles' team total, and the third-place finish earned him a First Team All-America award.
 
The 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team ended the night in record-breaking fashion for OC. The Eagles relay team of Brandon Heredia, Amrein, Dereck Montgomery, and Berling broke their school record with a time of 1:19.08, which gave them 5th place in the event. The team's finish earned them a spot on the podium, the first time an OC men's relay time has made the podium and earned them All-America honors.

THOUGHTS FROM COACH DAVIS
 
It was another spectacular day For OC swimming as Cheyenne Denison became the first All-America swimmer for OC getting 8th place in the 200 Butterfly.
 
JT showed incredible perseverance and received another All-America award in 100yd breaststroke. And Victor put on another show in an epic battle in the 500 Yard Freestyle, ultimately winning third.
 
The evening finished on a super note as the 200 Free Relay broke their school record and received their first All-American award in a men's relay led off by fifth-year captain Brandon Heredia. Brandon's waited five years for this award, and all the guys wanted it for him. All in all, an incredible night!  I'm so proud of Cheyenne and the guys!
