Game Preview: Lady Eagles travel for a challenge with the Rattlers

San Antonio, Texas – The Lady Eagles will begin their two-game road trip this weekend facing the St. Mary's University Rattlers. Oklahoma Christian comes into this game currently sitting in 6th place in the East division of the Lone Star Conference, with a 4-7 record in divisional play. The Lady Eagles will look to continue the momentum from last Saturday, as they defeated Texas A&M International 64-62. 
 
They will face St. Mary's, who is entering the game following a 45-52 loss to Texas Woman's University last Saturday. The Rattlers are in 7th place in the East division with a 2-8 record in divisional play.
 
TEAM LEADERS
 
Offensively, the Lady Eagles are captained by Brooklin Bain with 13.9 points per game, plus Kate Bradley (9.6 ppg) has showcased her playmaking abilities as well with a team-leading 63 assists on the season. Bradley places 9th in the conference in assists per game with 3.0.
 
On the boards, Brooklin Bain (8.3 rpg), Olivia Travis (6.1 rpg), and Nakia Cullom (4.8 rpg) continue to lead Oklahoma Christian, who is third in the Lone Star in rebound margin.
 
On the defensive end of the court, the Lady Eagles feature three Eagles with over 25 steals on the year. Daijah Torns has been a nightmare for opposing offenses, as she has accumulated 31 steals on the season. Protecting the paint, Jordan Francisco and Nakia Cullom lead the Eagles with 7 blocks during this year's campaign.
 
St. Mary'sl runs their offense through Gabby Elliott, who is averaging almost 12.7 points per game on the season. Teanna Huggins has displayed her playmaking skills all season, as she has accumulated 56 assists.
 
When it comes to rebounds, the Rattlers are led by Elliott (7.1 rpg) and Natalia Ryng (4.9 rpg).
 
Defensively, St. Mary is led by Huggins, as she has been a menace all year, collecting 40 steals on the season. Defending the basket, Elliott leads the Rattlers with 22 blocked shots this season, while Tonia Bilic has 15 blocks entering Thursday's matchup.
