Justice Wins Individual Title, Men and Women Take 4th Place

WICHITA, Kan. - Oklahoma Christian bowling competed in its first Tier 1 event of the season at the Mid-States Championships in Wichita, Kansas.

Women's Weekend
The varsity women qualified 4th and lost their first-round match to St. Ambrose in the bracket. Sophomore Tori Justice brings home the individual win at the Mid-States Championships! Tori was named tournament MVP, averaging just over 203 for her six games, leading all women.

THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH JAMES HAYES
Both our varsity and JV ladies competed this weekend. It was good to get our JV some games under their belt. Varsity struggled in execution as a team this weekend. That will be the focus this week before we head to Indiana on Thursday for our next NCAA event. Let's not take away, though, from Tori Justice's tournament MVP performance. Tori bowled well all weekend!

Men's Weekend
The varsity men qualified 8th for the bracket, setting up a match with #1 seed Wichita State. The men swept WSU in round one before falling to eventual champion Wisconsin Whitewater in round two. The JV men qualified 2nd in the JV division and lost the JV championship match to Wichita State JV1.

THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH JAMES HAYES
Both our varsity and JV men fought hard this weekend. It was nice to see them get a match-play victory over Wichita State, one of the best teams in the country. We have a couple of weeks off to get a little more consistent before heading to Iowa.

Up Next
The men will be off the next couple of weekends, and the women will be on the road for another NCAA event October 27-29 in Dyer, Indiana!
