OKLAHOMA CITY (June 12, 2022) – Trips to five Tier I tournaments highlight the 2022-23 season schedule for Oklahoma Christian's bowling teams, announced Sunday by coach
James Hayes.
OC's men's and women's teams will open the season Oct. 8-9 in Fort Worth, Texas, in the Southwest Intercollegiate Bowling Circuit I and II tournaments. A week later, on Oct. 15-16, the Eagles will head north to Wichita, Kan., for the Tier I Mid-States Championships.
After a two-month hiatus from competition, the Eagles will play in back-to-back Tier I events in Las Vegas, the Glenn Carlson Las Vegas Invitational on Dec. 18-19 and the Collegiate Shoot-Out on Dec. 20-21. Both events will be held at the South Point Bowling Arena.
The Eagles will compete in the Tier I Kegel/ISBPA Midwest Collegiate Classic in Addison, Ill., near Chicago, on Jan. 14-15, and a week later, they will play in the SWIBC V and VI tournaments at USA Bowl in Dallas and Plano Super Bowl in Plano, Texas, respectively.
The SWIBC Championships are set for Feb. 4-5 at Firelake Bowl in Shawnee, then will finish the regular season on Feb. 18-19 in the Tier I Columbia 300 Hoosier Classic in Indianapolis.
Should either OC team qualify for the postseason – and both have in all four previous years of their existence – they will compete in the Intercollegiate Singles Championship Sectional Qualifier on March 10 and the Intercollegiate Team Championship Sectional Qualifier on March 11-12, most likely back in Dallas at USA Bowl.
