Box Score Tulsa, Okla. - The Lady Eagles tipped off their new era in an exhibition matchup against Oral Roberts on Tuesday morning in Tulsa.

Oral Roberts got off to a hot start from behind in the arc in the first quarter and took a 29-12 lead into the second quarter. ORU shot 50 percent in the quarter compared to the OC's 18 percent.

But the Eagles didn't back down as they flipped the script in the second quarter. A jumper from
Brooklin Bain and back-to-back jumpers from
Natalie Smith led to a 6-0 run to open the quarter. The hot shooting continued as the Eagles shot 47.1 percent in the quarter and held the Golden Eagles to just 27.1 percent. OC's defense closed out the first half strong as they held ORU to just 1-12 shooting to close out the second quarter.

The two sides traded buckets to open the second half, Bain, Smith, and
Olivia Travis opened the quarter with jumpers. And Oklahoma Christian cut Oral Roberts' half-time lead down to 12 at 57-45 before a 10-2 run gave ORU a 67-47 lead going into the fourth.

The Eagles, who were undersized in the matchup, battled to an even rebound total and were just slightly behind the Golden Eagles' rebound advantage of 48-44. OC was led in rebounds by newcomer
Olivia Travis, a senior from Minneapolis, with 7 rebounds.

The Eagles battled all the way falling 90-63 in Tulsa.
