Arkadelphia, Ark. - In their second meet of the weekend spent in Arkadelphia, Eagles' swimming split the meet with the Red Wave. The men won a close meet, 117-111 to win back-to-back meets.
In the women's meet, the Eagles took 1st in two events. Cheyenne Dennison won the 1000 Freestyle with a time of 10:47.53, beating the 2nd-place finisher by 7.1 seconds, and Vivian Pitsch won the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:00.61.
On the men's side, they took 1st place in six events at the Wells Natatorium. The 400 Medley Relay team featuring Reese McIlroy, JT Amrein, Victor Rosado, and Brandon Heredia, took 1st with a time of 3:22.20. Chase Fields took 1st in the 1000 Freestyle with a time of 10:03.35. The 200 Freestyle was won by Victor Rosado with a time of 1:41.90, and he won the 500 Freestyle with a time of 4:36.75. JT Amrein won the 200 IM with a time of 1:53.90, and he won the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 56.40.
They are back in the pool in O'Fallon, Illinois in two weeks at the McKendree tri-meet.
