PITTSBURG, Kan. (April 24, 2021) –
Caroline Schwab posted a personal-best time in the 800 meters to lead Oklahoma Christian on Saturday in the Pittsburg State Tune-Up track and field meet at Carnie Smith Stadium.
Schwab, a junior from Andover, Kan., took 25th among 42 runners in the 800 with a time of 2:23.76. Also running in the race was OC junior
Emma Davison of Mason City, Iowa, who had a time of 2:33.79. Davison also ran in the 1,500 meters, finishing 16th of 32 runners in 5:09.88.
Autumn Baldwin, a junior from Prosper, Texas, posted a time of 13.30 seconds in the 100 meters.
OC had two field-event performers Saturday.
Morgan Ray, a junior from Edmond, Okla., finished 11th of 21 women in the triple jump with a strong mark of 35 feet, 6½ inches (10.83 meters). In the long jump, Ray's top mark was 16 feet, 5 inches (5.00 meters).
Thrower
Taelor Brown, a sophomore from Pawnee, Okla., had top marks of 37 feet, 11½ inches (11.57 meters) in the shot put and 136 feet, 5 inches (41.58 meters) in the hammer.
The Eagles now will point toward the Lone Star Conference Outdoor Championships, which will be run May 6-8 in Canyon, Texas, at West Texas A&M.
