DALLAS (April 18, 2021) – Oklahoma Christian's women's bowling season ended Sunday as the Eagles finished ninth out of 12 teams in the Intercollegiate Team Championship Sectional Qualifier at USA Bowl in Dallas.
The top four teams in the qualifier advanced to the ITC, to be played next month in Wyoming, Mich. Teams played 40 Baker games in the qualifier – 20 on Saturday and 20 on Sunday.
After Saturday, OC was eighth with a score of 3,466 and with a Sunday score of 3,491, the Eagles finished at 6,957. The Eagles moved into seventh place at one point Sunday but fell to ninth as the day progressed. OC had only three games of 200 or higher on Sunday, with a high game of 244.
Wichita State won the qualifier with a score of 8,041. Stephen F. Austin ( 7,763), Louisiana Tech (7,482) and Newman (Kan.) (7,352) were the other three qualifiers for the national event.
OC was chosen to compete in collegiate bowling's postseason for the third time in as many seasons of the program's history.
