NORMAN, Okla. (April 16, 2021) – After its fourth tournament win of the season, Oklahoma Christian moved up four spots to No. 15 in the latest Bushnell Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll, released Friday.

OC made the biggest upward move of any team in the poll. Despite their considerable success this spring, the Eagles had struggled to rise in the poll much at all until this week.

Most recently, the Eagles won the Dallas Baptist Patriot Classic at Wildhorse Golf Club at Robson Ranch in Denton, Texas. Since October, OC has finished behind only one NCAA Division II team (Central Missouri in the Las Vegas Desert Classic) in any event.

OC owns two head-to-head wins over the current No. 4-ranked team, Arkansas Tech, as well as head-to-head wins over No. 16 Colorado State-Pueblo, No. 17 Henderson State (Ark.) and No. 18 Washburn (Kan.). The Eagles also have split with No. 8 Central Missouri and No. 10 Indianapolis (Ind.).

New No. 1 West Florida received 21 of 23 first-place votes while former No. 1 Lynn (Fla.) dropped to second, followed by Lincoln Memorial (Tenn.), with Barry (Fla.) and Arkansas Tech tied for fourth. South Carolina-Aiken was sixth, followed by Lee (Tenn.), Central Missouri, Georgia Southwestern State and Indianapolis.

OC was the highest-ranked team from either the South Central or West Regions. Colorado State-Pueblo was the only other South Central Region team in the top 25.

The Eagles' next tournament will be the Lone Star Conference Championship, which will begin Monday at Tierra Verde Golf Club in Arlington, Texas.
