Throwers take center stage for Eagles on 1st day at OBU meet

SHAWNEE, Okla. (March 26, 2021) – Oklahoma Christian throwers Taelor Brown, Nikkita Addy and Leah Oguntope opened action for the Eagles in the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational on Friday by competing in the hammer.

Brown, a sophomore from Pawnee, led OC's trio by placing fourth with a top throw of 125 feet, 6 inches (38.26 meters).

Addy, a freshman from Moore, threw the hammer 116 feet, 3 inches (35.44 meters), while Oguntope, a freshman from Houston, had a top throw of 103 feet, 8 inches (31.60 meters).

The three throwers, along with many of their OC field and track teammates, will be back in action at the meet Saturday at OBU's Hurt Memorial Track.
