COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 23, 2021) – For a third straight year, Oklahoma Christian swimmer
Andrew Assaleh made the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's All-Academic team, which was announced Tuesday.
Assaleh, a senior from Oklahoma City, was the lone OC representative on the 10-man All-Academic first-team list, while 15 other Eagles made the RMAC's All-Academic Honor Roll.
To qualify for the honor, an athlete must have at least a 3.3 cumulative grade-point average, have been a student at his institution for at least two semesters and used a season of competition during the academic year in which the award is earned. Sports information directors from RMAC institutions vote to determine the first-team list, with the award based on both academic and athletic results.
Assaleh, an Accounting major, carries a 3.973 GPA in accounting. In 2020, he qualified for the A final in the 200-yard breaststroke at the RMAC Championships and later was named to the Academic All-America At-Large third-team list by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
