LAWRENCE, Kan. (March 13, 2021) – Oklahoma Christian's women's bowling team placed eighth in a 16-team field on Saturday in the Jayhawk Collegiate Challenge I tournament at Royal Crest Lanes.
OC posted a total pinfall of 6,545 over four team games and 16 Baker games, well behind the winner, Newman (Kan.), which had a final score of 7,142.
Sophomore
Morgan Pelkie of Sarnia, Ontario, led the Eagles individually, finishing eighth with a four-game score of 807. She rolled two of the Eagles' four 200 games, posting a 212 in game one and a 237 in game four.
Jessica Flanagan, a freshman from Lavaca, Ark., rolled a 201 in game three for the Eagles and was 36th individually at 735.
Emily Tripp, a sophomore from Cabot, Ark., was 42nd at 707 and
Claire McDermott, a sophomore from Harrisburg, Ill., was 51st at 690.
OC's other 200 game was a 204 in game two by
Athena Walker, a sophomore from McKinney, Texas.
The Jayhawk Collegiate Challenge II tournament will be played Sunday, starting at 8 a.m.
