DALLAS (Oct. 3, 2021) – Oklahoma Christian's women's club bowling team finished fifth among nine teams in the Southwest Intercollegiate Bowling Circuit II tournament on Sunday at USA Bowl.
OC posted a team score of 5,771 over seven team games. Louisiana Tech took top honors in the team race at 6,779.
On OC's varsity team in the tournament, sophomore
Athena Walker of McKinney, Texas, was the Eagles' top performer, finishing 20th in the 69-woman field at 1,186, with a high game of 205.
Morgan Pelkie, a sophomore from Sarnia, Ontario, placed 22nd at 1,184. Freshman
Liberty Pierce of Kingwood, Texas, posted the top game by an OC bowler, a 206.
The highest score by any OC player came from
Jordan Corbett. The freshman from Owasso, playing on the Eagles' junior varsity squad, placed 17th at 1,214.
Danielle Jedlicki of Louisiana Tech won the individual title with a score of 1,505.
