EDMOND, Okla. (Jan. 14, 2021) – Oklahoma Christian's swimming teams will open the 2021 portion of their schedule on Friday when they host nearby rival Oklahoma Baptist for a dual meet.

The meet is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at the Mitch Park YMCA pool. It will be the Eagles' first competition since they completed the Eagle Invitational in the same pool on Nov. 15.

The dual between OC and the Bison figures to be the last for the foreseeable future, as OBU has announced plans to drop its swimming programs following the 2020-21 season. That will leave OC as the only four-year university in Oklahoma to field an intercollegiate swimming program.

Friday's meet will start a busy stretch for the Eagles, who also have dual meets scheduled at William Jewell (Mo.) on Jan. 22 and Drury (Mo.) on Jan. 23 as they prepare for the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships. The RMAC meet is set for Feb. 10-13 in Grand Junction, Colo.
