COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 26, 2020) – Oklahoma Christian led the way on the 2019-20 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's All-Academic men's swimming team, placing four student-athletes on the 10-man list released Thursday.

Bergen Davis,
Derek Duckworth and
Micah Young all made the 10-man first-team list, with 10 others making the All-Academic team's Honor Roll.
To qualify for the honor, an athlete must have at least a 3.3 cumulative grade-point average, have been a student at his institution for at least two semesters and used a season of competition during the academic year in which the award is earned. Sports information directors from RMAC institutions vote to determine the first-team list, with the award based on both academic and athletic results.
Assaleh, a junior from Oklahoma City, made the first-team list for a second straight year. The Accounting major carries a perfect 4.0 GPA and qualified for the A final in the 200-yard breaststroke at this year's RMAC Championships in Grand Junction, Colo.
Young, a junior Mechanical Engineering major from Olympia, Wash., who also has a 4.0 GPA, earlier earned the RMAC's Summit Award, given to the competitor at the RMAC Championships with the highest individual GPA.
Davis, a sophomore from Juneau, Alaska, won the RMAC's 200 breaststroke individual title and is a six-time All-RMAC honoree during his two seasons with the Eagles. He carries a 3.78 GPA in Marketing/Management-Technology Mediated Marketing.
Duckworth, a junior from New Braunfels, Texas, has a 3.80 GPA in Mechanical Engineering. He is a 10-time All-RMAC honoree and a key member of the Eagles' relay teams.

Noah Carter, a sophomore Accounting major from Nashville, Tenn.;
Sam Carter, a sophomore Psychology major from Fort Gibson, Okla.;
Shai Cunningham, a sophomore Mechanical Engineering major from Idaho Falls, Idaho; and
Grant Denison, a junior Marketing/Management major from Oklahoma City.
Also on the All-Academic Honor Roll were
Andrew Ehler, a sophomore Mechanical Engineering major from Oak Point, Texas;
Kurt Gscheidle, a junior Mechanical Engineering major from Lantana, Texas;
Zac Hawes, a junior Accounting/Finance major from Houston;
Ryan Jennings, a junior Computer Science major from Keller, Texas; and
Carter Shelton, a junior Sports Management major from Jackson, Tenn.
Colorado School of Mines and Colorado Mesa each placed three swimmers on the first-team list, with Colorado Mesa's Lane Austin named as the RMAC's Academic Swimmer of the Year.
