COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 29, 2020) – Oklahoma Christian's men's and women's swimming teams were named Wednesday on the Scholar All-America list for the fall 2019 semester produced by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

To receive the honor, teams had to post a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher for the semester and have 12 or more student-athletes. OC's women, with 22 swimmers, earned the honor for a third straight semester, posting a team GPA of 3.20, the highest in program history. That ranked 24th overall among Division II women's programs.

The CSCAA academic honor was the first in the three-season history of the OC men's program, as the 41 Eagles on the team combined for a GPA of 3.17. OC ranked 28th on the overall Division II men's list. OC was one of 23 programs overall, and six in NCAA Division II, to earn the Scholar All-America award for the first time.

"I'm excited to see our women continue their academic excellence and for our men to make the Scholar All-America list for the first time," OC coach Josh Davis said. "Academic success always will be a key emphasis in our program."

The CSCAA said a record 762 programs from 480 institutions (across all three NCAA Divisions, the NAIA and NJCAA) qualified for the Scholar All-America lists for the fall 2019 semester.
