COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (July 2, 2019) – Oklahoma Christian swimmers Bergen Davis, Derek Duckworth and Brandon Heredia received recognition on the Scholar All-American team released Tuesday by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America.

The award recognizes student-athletes who have earned a grade-point average of at least 3.50 – either cumulatively or over a semester – and achieved at least a NCAA B standard time in an event or competed at an NCAA national meet or regional qualifier.

Davis, a freshman Marketing/Management major from Juneau, Alaska, had an NCAA B time in the 200-yard backstroke during the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships in February in Lewisville, Texas.

Duckworth, a sophomore Mechanical Engineering major from New Braunfels, Texas, posted an NCAA B time in the 50 freestyle at the RMAC Championships. Heredia, a freshman Nutrition and Exercise Science major from Maryville, Mo., did the same in the 100 freestyle and 50 freestyle at the RMAC meet.
