OKLAHOMA CITY (March 28, 2019) – Oklahoma Christian's new Ultimate team will hold its first scrimmage against opponents from colleges that you might have heard of.

Teams from Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Tulsa – all of which compete in NCAA Division I in many sports – will visit the OC campus for a set of round-robin scrimmages that will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday.

The scrimmages between the Eagles, the OU Apes of Wrath, OSU Ultimato, the TU Party Fowl and OU's 'B' team will be played throughout the day on the field north of the Dave Smith Athletic Center (AKA The Barn).

OC announced last November that it would add Ultimate – known informally as Ultimate Frisbee – to its roster of club sports for the 2019-20 season. Coach Gabe Cabrera has been on the campus since January and already has started to build his roster.

Collegiate Ultimate is governed by USA Ultimate, based in Denver. OC will compete in a region with teams from Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado and Wyoming at the Division III level of the sport.
