Kaylie Upton made the all-tournament team for the TAJ Hospitality College Softball Kickoff, announced Sunday.
Crandall, a freshman pitcher from Artesia, N.M., went 1-0 with a 1.27 ERA in two appearances, against Chadron State (Neb.) and Midwestern State (Texas). She fanned nine Chadron State batters in six innings in a 7-1 win on Friday, then had 12 strikeouts in five innings as OC downed Midwestern State 11-3 on Saturday. She allowed only six hits in her 11 innings of work.
Dunckel, a sophomore infielder from Valley Center, Calif., hit .692 (9 of 13), drove in three runs and scored 11 times. Dunckel drew three walks and was twice hit by a pitch, giving her an on-base percentage of .778. She also stole four bases in as many attempts.
Upton, a senior pitcher-first baseman from Pauls Valley, hit .600 with 11 RBIs. In the two games on Saturday, Upton hit two home runs against both Midwestern State and Texas-Permian Basin, finishing the weekend with a 1.900 slugging percentage. She also pitched the first two innings of a combined no-hitter in a 15-1 win over UTPB (with
Madison Hagood finishing it off). Upton also recorded the pitching win in a 6-1 win over Western New Mexico, allowing only three hits in five innings.
OC will return to action on Friday, hosting East Central and Northeastern State in the Edmond Regional Festival I at Tom Heath Field.
