Resendiz Improves to 12-0 as No. 15 OC Splits with Aggies

LAWTON, Okla. - Ella Resendiz logged her 12th victory of the season in game one of Saturday's doubleheader against Cameron as No. 15 OC split its final road trip of the 2026 regular season, 4-0 and 2-3.

Resendiz (12-0) is the first Eagle pitcher in the NCAA Division II era to win her first 12 collegiate starts without recording a loss after shutting out the Aggies in game one, tallying eight strikeouts to just one walk.

The Purcell, Okla., native is now fourth in the conference in opposing batting average (.228) and fifth in strikeouts (121) while being the only LSC pitcher with double-digit wins without a loss.

Danae Lopez went 3-for-4 at the dish in game one to help OC prevail over the Aggies while Kiley Brewster added a pair of hits in both games for her sixth and seventh consecutive game with a hit. Marti Yaerger extended her on-base streak to 16 games.

No. 15 Oklahoma Christian (38-12, 29-9 LSC) will return to Tom Heath Field for the final two games of the 2026 regular season against UT Dallas Sunday, May 3 before beginning the LSC Tournament May 6-9.

Game One: No. 15 Oklahoma Christian 4, Cameron 0
Resendiz retired the first 13 Cameron batters in order, carrying a no-hitter into the fifth inning. During that time, the Eagles built a 3-0 lead with single runs in the first fourth and fifth frames.

After the Aggies saw their first base runner of the contest, an insurance run in the sixth preceded just one more hit for CU as OC took the opener, 4-0.

Game Two: Cameron 3, No. 15 Oklahoma Christian 2
Neither team saw more than four batters in each of the first two and a half innings before Cameron plated two runs in the bottom of the third off three hits. A two-RBI double in the fourth immediately tied play back up at 2-2. Cameron retook the lead in the home-half of the fourth to make it 3-2.

Still trailing by one run, Oklahoma Christian put two runners on the base paths in the sixth before loading them in the seventh, but each time were kept scoreless as CU's defense held the Eagles at bay in game two, 3-2.
