LAS VEGAS (Dec. 21, 2019) – Oklahoma Christian's women finished 12th in the Tier I Collegiate Shoot-Out, which ended Saturday at Gold Coast Bowling Center.
The Eagles stood in ninth among 27 teams entering the day, just one place out of a potential spot in the eight-team match-play tournament that decided the event's winner. But OC struggled in its 16 Baker games, averaging just 174.06 pins per game.
OC's Saturday score of 2,785 gave the Eagles a two-day score of 8, 132, 103 pins behind eighth-place Ottawa (Kan.).
Martin Methodist (Tenn.), which finished second in pinfall, ended up winning the match-play bracket, beating Newman (Kan.), Ottawa and Wichita State for the title.
The Eagles will return to action on Jan. 11, when they will play in the Southwest Intercollegiate Bowling Circuit V tournament in the Dallas metropolitan area.
