OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 5, 2019) – For the first time this soccer season, the Lone Star Conference on Tuesday named Oklahoma Christian's
Anthony Trabichet as its goalkeeper of the week.
Trabichet, a sophomore from Thonon-les-Bains, France, posed the second- and third-highest single-game save totals by an LSC goalkeeper this season as the Eagles split a pair of road games at Eastern New Mexico (on Thursday) and West Texas A&M (on Saturday).
He made 10 saves (matching his season high) as the Eagles rallied from a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2 at Eastern New Mexico. Two days later, he had a career-high 12 stops – including saving a penalty kick – to keep the Eagles close in a 2-0 loss at West Texas A&M, even as they played the final 61 minutes a man down.
Trabichet leads the LSC in saves (87) and saves per game (6.21) and third in save percentage at .737.
The weekly honor was the third for Trabichet in his OC career. Twice last season, he was named as the Heartland Conference's defensive player of the week.
OC will wrap up its season this week, hosting Dallas Baptist (Texas) on Wednesday and St. Edward's (Texas) on Friday.
