Rough day for Eagles at OU tournament

OKLAHOMA CITY (Oct. 5, 2019) – Oklahoma Christian dropped all four of its matches Saturday in the Just Plain Nasty Ultimate tournament, hosted by the University of Oklahoma at South Lakes Soccer Complex.

The OC club team fell 13-6 to Oklahoma, 13-0 to Oklahoma State, 12-7 to John Brown (Ark.) and 11-9 to North Texas. The Eagles now are 5-7 on the season.

Junior Ben Helm of Midlothian, Texas, led the Eagles on Saturday with four goals and four assists as well as 5 Ds. Freshman Kevin van Roosmalen of Rosmalen, Netherlands, added 11 assists and three goals, while freshman Garrett Houston of Heyworth, Ill., and junior Nathaneal Nix of Royse City, Texas, scored three goals each.

OC will face Tulsa at 9 a.m. Sunday in consolation bracket play, with another match against a to-be-determined opponent at 11 a.m.
