EDMOND, Okla. (Jan. 7, 2019) – Oklahoma Christian bowling is going international.

OC's first-year women's program picked up its first recruit from outside the United States when Morgan Pelkie of Sarnia, Ontario, signed on Monday to play with the Lady Eagles starting with the 2019-20 season.

"Morgan is a huge pickup for our program," OC coach James Hayes said. "She is a very good bowler who will help our program and should make an immediate impact for us."

Pelkie, who has bowled since age 5, rolled her career-best game of 297 – starting with 11 strikes – on Dec. 9, 2017. She has a top series of 780 and currently has a 203 scoring average.

She qualified for Canada's Junior Team in 2017.
