OKLAHOMA CITY (Jan. 6, 2019) – Winning three individual events and one relay race earned Oklahoma Christian swimmer Brandon Heredia recognition Sunday as the Eagle of the Week.

The freshman from Maryville, Mo., led OC to the team title on Saturday in the Austin College Invitational in Sherman, Texas. He dominated the shorter freestyle events, winning the 200-yard freestyle in 1:49.76, the 100 freestyle in 48.28 seconds and the 50 freestyle in 22.07 seconds.

He later swam the anchor leg on the Eagles' 200 freestyle relay team that won in 1:31.56, capping a meet in which OC swimmers won 13 of the 14 events contested.

The Eagle of the Week award recognizes the top performer in OC athletics for the previous week. The honor is presented each week at least one OC athletic team is in competition.
