PLANO, Texas (Jan. 13, 2019) – In its second Southwest Intercollegiate Bowling Circuit tournament in as many days, Oklahoma Christian stayed in neutral on Sunday.

The Lady Eagles, who finished fourth among eight teams on Saturday in SWIBC V, did the same in SWIBC VI a day later at Plano Super Bowl. With a team score of 6,139, OC trailed the winner, Newman (Kan.) with 6,699 pins, as well as Kansas Wesleyan (6,531) and West Texas A&M (6,327).

Taylore Ryan and Melissa McConnell were OC's top bowlers during the tournament, which consisted of seven individual games. Ryan, a freshman from Allen, Texas, placed seventh in the 65-woman field with a score of 1,324, including a high game of 213.

McConnell, a sophomore from Canton, Ga., had OC's best game on Sunday, a 237, and finished eighth with an overall score of 1,309.

Two other Lady Eagles bowled all seven games. Kaitlyn Esquer, a freshman from Lawton, was 15th with a score of 1,264, rolling a high game of 227, while Hailey Schanaman, a freshman from Scottsbluff,  Neb., placed 27th with a 1,180 score, with a high game of 225.

Carley Sullivan of Newman took top individual honors with a score of 1,529.

OC will compete next Saturday and Sunday in the Kegel/ISBPA Midwest Collegiate Classic, a Tier I event at Stardust Bowl in Addison, Ill.
