Box Score CANYON, Texas (Feb. 26, 2016) –
Garett Hill pitched a solid six innings of relief, but Oklahoma Christian fell behind early and didn't rally while falling 6-1 on Friday to No. 19-ranked West Texas A&M at Wilder Park.
West Texas A&M (10-2) took advantage of wildness by OC starter
Bradley Horn to build an early 2-0 lead. Horn (3-1) faced only four batters, walking two and hitting two with pitches before giving way to Hill, who recorded the second-longest relief stint of his career.
Hill gave up only five hits and two runs in his six innings, but OC (5-7) stranded eight baserunners and scored only on a solo home run by
Robert Rosser in the sixth inning.
West Texas A&M starter Austin Moore (2-1) pitched six innings, allowing six hits and Rosser's home run, while Kyle Tinius pitched the final three innings to earn his third save of the baseball season for the Buffaloes.
The Buffaloes and Eagles will play a doubleheader on Saturday.
