Lady Eagles advance to Tuesday's championship

Box score
Updated SAC tournament bracket

Rachel Martin and Tasha Turney both scored 17 points to lead the Lady Eagles past Lubbock Christian 75-69 in the SAC semifinals Saturday.

Carlissa Plowden filled up the box score with 13 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, four steals and three blocked shots. Lauren Decker chipped in 12 points for the Lady Eagles, who will play Oklahoma City Tuesday in the SAC championship game. The title game is a rematch of last week's regular-season finale, which went to overtime before OCU prevailed 82-76.

The Lady Eagles held LCU to 24 percent shooting in the first half, but held a slim 29-28 halftime lead. Oklahoma Christian took control with a 9-0 run to start the second half, with five points from Martin sandwiched by buckets from Turney and Decker.

OC led by as many as 13, and had a 67-58 edge with 2:04 left. Sierra Wilcox made three three-pointers in less than a minute to pull the Lady Chaps within 71-69, but Carrie Mills and Katie Fariss hit four free throws in the closing seconds to clinch the victory.
