Lady Eagles Take LCU, 69-55

Oklahoma Christian University pinned a 69-55 loss on 25th ranked Lubbock Christian University as the Lady Eagles raced out to a commanding lead in the first half and never let up.

The Lady Eagles, 12-6 overall, evened their conference record at 3-3. LCU, also 3-3 in league play, is 10-5 on the season.

Behind the scoring of freshmen Katie Fariss and Sarah Stanley and sophomore Lauren Decker, OC raced to an early lead and led by 39-20 at the half. Decker and Fariss continued to score in the second half as the Lady Eagles used success at the foul line to cement the win. OC hit 18 of 22 free throws in the final 10 minutes of play.

Decker and Fariss each finished with 16 points but Decker also pulled in game high 11 rebounds. Eden Wiens had nine points Stanley finished with eight. Valarie Wootan led LCU with 18 points.
