The Oklahoma Christian University Lady Eagles extended their unbeaten record to 8-0 with an 85-67 victory over Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford Nov. 30.
After a poor shooting first half and trailing by one, 30-29, at intermission, the Lady Eagles regrouped offensively to build 20-point leads in the second half.
Former Edmond Memorial standout Rachel Martin led OC with 23 points and nine rebounds while Carlissa Plowden, Katie Fariss and Tasha Turney also finished in double figures. Plowden had 16 and Fariss and Turney each scored 11 points.
Southwestern Oklahoma was led by Julie Dawson with 15 points and Dru Tomaszewski with 13. The Lady Bulldogs are now 4-3.
Oklahoma Christian returns home to host Westminster College (Utah) Saturday, Dec. 4 at 1 p.m.
