In a double overtime battle, Oklahoma Christian fell victim to Oklahoma Baptist University by a 71-62 margin here Jan. 20.
Success at the foul line payed off for the visitors (22 of 30) and sub-par free throw shooting (9 of 21) proved costly to the Lady Eagles.
OBU scored in the final second of regulation play to tie 46-46 and force the first overtime. Lady Eagles' sophomore Katie Fariss converted on a three-pointer with four seconds to play to tie the game 57-57 and force the second overtime. The Lady Bison were 11 of 12 at the free throw line to claim the victory.
Junior Lauren Decker led the Lady Eagles with 24 points and Fariss, with three, 3 point field goals, finished with 20.
OC is now 14-5 overall and 4-2 in conference play.
