Eagles fall in round two to Stars

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (April 2, 2010) – The Oklahoma Christian baseball team fell 2-0 to No. 3 Oklahoma City University on Friday night in their second matchup of the series.

The Eagles gave up a run in the first inning to the Stars following two errors, however, they were able to hold the No. 3 OCU squad scoreless until the eighth inning when they gave up one more.

OC's Ryan Morris held true for the Eagles as he pitched through the game's entirety coming away with nine strikeouts and only allowing one earned run through eight innings.

Despite the Eagles' fielding efforts, they continued to struggle at the plate against the Stars. OC was unable to bring a runner across home; yet, Taylor Parcus made it as far as third base before heading into the dugout after two Eagle strikeouts.

Parcus led the Eagles at the plate going 3-for-4 with Jordan Price tallying the Eagles' only other hit batting 1-for-4 on the night.

The now 13-15 (8-9) Eagles will finish up their series against the Stars on Saturday with a nine-inning game beginning at 1 p.m.
