Evan Draper hit his first home run of the season for OC in a 12-5 loss to Southern Nazarene on Friday.
OKLAHOMA CITY (April 6, 2012) – Ryan McIntosh went 4-for-5 with five RBIs to lead a 17-hit attack by Southern Nazarene and the Crimson Storm beat Oklahoma Christian 12-5 on Friday night at Dobson Field.
SNU (15-19, 11-9 Sooner Athletic Conference) scored three runs in the top of the first and never trailed against OC (7-24, 3-20), which saw its losing streak reach 19 games.
Wes Dorough's RBI double keyed a two-run fourth inning for OC that pulled the Eagles within 3-2, but SNU responded with a three-run fifth. McIntosh's one-out, two-run double chased OC starter Luke Sandoval (2-4) and Tyler De Trinidad greeted reliever Heath Orndorff with a run-scoring single.
Evan Draper's first home run of the season, a line shot over the left-field wall, pulled OC within 6-3, but the Crimson Storm scored four more times in the sixth, with McIntosh hitting a two-run homer over the left-field wall to make it 10-3.
OC's final runs came in the ninth on a two-run single by Jerry Owen.
SNU starter Jake Bidelman (4-1) allowed seven hits and struck out two in eight innings. James Tunnell went 4-for-5 at the plate for the Crimson Storm.
Dorough and Dillon Andrews each had two hits for the Eagles.
OC and SNU will play the final game of their three-game series on Saturday at 1 p.m.
