Ryan Morris started on the mound for OC in a 15-4 loss to Central Oklahoma.

OKLAHOMA CITY (April 19, 2012) – Jared Wright went 3-for-5 with six RBIs and NCAA Division II Central Oklahoma beat Oklahoma Christian 15-4 on Thursday night at Dobson Field in a baseball game shortened to six innings because of rain.

OC (7-30) led 2-0 and 4-2, but couldn't sustain its lead against the Bronchos' offensive onslaught. UCO scored six runs in the fourth inning, three on a bases-loaded double by Wright and two more on a home run to left field by Austin Rycroft off OC starter Ryan Morris (2-10).

UCO (29-13) added four more runs in the fifth and three in the sixth. OC loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the sixth but couldn't score against reliever Ethan Sharp. Sharp (3-1) replaced starter Edgar Lopez in the third and went the final 3 1/3 innings for the Bronchos, allowing four hits but no runs.

OC picked up an RBI double from Jerry Owen in the first and a run-scoring groundout by Garrett Stephenson in the second to go ahead 2-0. UCO tied it in the top of the third, but the Eagles went up 4-2 in the bottom of the inning as Heath Steele's single scored Daniel Thompson, who had walked, and Collin Pope later scored on a wild pitch by Lopez.

Rycroft went 2-for-4 with four RBIs and Kevin Blue was 3-for-5 with three RBIs for UCO. Cody Alsup (2-for-2) and Owen (2-for-4) each had a pair of OC's seven hits.

The Eagles are scheduled to host UCO again Friday at 6 p.m., weather permitting, before concluding the series at UCO on Saturday afternoon.
