EDMOND - Oklahoma Christian scored four second-half goals to blow open a scoreless match and secure a dominant 4-0 victory over Lone Star Conference foe Sul Ross State on Wednesday afternoon at Eagle Soccer Field.
The win marks OC's second consecutive win and brings the Eagles back to a .500 mark in conference play (2-2-0) while improving their overall record to 5-3-0. After a tightly contested opening 45 minutes in which both teams went into halftime scoreless, OC came out firing in the second period, out shooting the Lobos (0-6-2, 0-4-1 LSC) 15-4 over the final 45 minutes.
Jordan Tanges broke the ice just 45 seconds into the second half. Off an assist from Caid Jefferson, Tanges found the back of the net at the 45:45 mark to score her second goal of the season and give OC a 1-0 lead.
Jefferson turned from passer to scorer in the 54th minute, driving home an unassisted strike to double the lead. The goal was her team-leading fifth of the year, continuing an impressive early-season tear where she has produced points in five of OC's eight matches.
The Eagles kept their foot on the gas in the 65th minute when Tanges set up Jenna Munson for her second goal of the campaign to make it 3-0. Kam Carter, in her first game back from injury, put the finishing touches on the win at the 74:49 mark, burying an unassisted effort for her first goal of the season, to cap off the 4-0 shutout.Â

Defense and goalkeeping have been the cornerstone of OC's success in 2026. Through eight matches, the Eagles have posted five shutouts (victories over Colorado Christian, Northeastern State, Newman, St. Edward's, and Sul Ross State). Starting goalkeeper Breanna Wooten recorded three saves across 88 shutout minutes Wednesday, bringing her season total to five clean sheet victories.
