EDMOND - Oklahoma Christian Women's Soccer (4-3, 1-2) continued Lone Star Conference play with a matchup at Eagle Soccer Field against the Hilltoppers of St. Edward's (0-5-1, 0-2).
The First Half
The Eagles held an early offensive attack scoreless as Breanna Wooten made two saves, one in the 17th minute, and the other in the 25th.
Oklahoma Christian's first look came when Addison Jordan had a shot blocked in the 28th minute, and Jenna Munson kept the pressure on the Hilltoppers. Munson's first shot was blocked, but she put her second attempt on frame, forcing a save by the keeper, Daria Schlumbohm
OC's final push of the half came after a corner, one of their three in the half, dropped into the box, and Mia Dominguez's shot deflected off a defender.
The Second Half
Oklahoma Christian came out with a relentless second half effort on the offensive end, launching ten shots before St. Edward's could register one.
The Eagles kept testing Schlumbohm, who made back-to-back saves, on shots from Sophia Acuna and Caid Jefferson, whose shot was only kept out by an outstretched, leaping right fist.
Jenna Munson sent a laser into the box in the 64th minute that was deflected, and Jefferson made a great second effort in the 75th minute to put another shot on frame.
With twelve minutes remaining, Munson caught the keeper out of the 18-yard box, and launched a shot into the box from 35 yards out that deflected off a Hilltopper defender and into the empty net to take the lead for OC.
Breanna Wooten was tested down the stretch, but kept the Hilltoppers off the scoreboard, earning her third clean sheet of the season.

- The Eagles win tonight earned back-to-back wins against the Hilltoppers for the first time in series history.
Up Next
The Eagles are off for a week, before returning to Eagle Soccer Field next Wednesday, for a noon conference kickoff against Sul Ross State.
