LOUISVILLE, Ky. - After winning its fifth straight game Thursday, Apr. 2, Oklahoma Christian moved up from No. 13 to No. 12 in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Poll, the NFCA announced Tuesday, Apr. 7.
Thursday's doubleheader sweep of Midwestern State delivered OC's ninth consecutive 30-win season (excluding 2020's Covid-19 shortened season). The Eagles now hold a 31-8 overall record with a 23-5 conference stand, tied for the third fewest losses in the league behind No. 5 West Texas A&M and No. 25 UT Tyler.
With 14 games remaining in the 2026 regular season, five of those contests will come against current NFCA top-25 programs. This season, OC is 5-4 against such teams. As a team, Oklahoma Christian currently ranks second in the LSC in batting average (.363) behind the top-5 Lady Buffs while pacing the rest of the conference with a 2.71 team ERA.
The maroon-and-gray will get back on the field Thursday, Apr. 9 against Eastern New Mexico in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. CT
