No. 12 OC Shuts Out Sul Ross in Doubleheader Sweep

ALPINE, Texas - No. 12 Oklahoma Christian allowed Sul Ross State to reach third base just once all day as the Eagles shut out the Lobos in each of Friday's contests, 12-0 and 9-0.

Jill Dickson (13-3) recorded her league-second most 13th win in the circle before McKenna Ingram (3-3) logged her third win of 2026. Payten Schibbelhute earned a no-decision in both games, pitching the final three outs in each outing.

Maci George (4-for-5) lived on the base paths Friday afternoon, reaching base safely six times across her 10 innings of play, including going a perfect 4-for-4 at the dish in game one. Kiley Brewster (2-for-5) recorded her 14th and 15th straight game of reaching base safely.

No. 12 Oklahoma Christian (25-6, 17-3 LSC) will cross state lines into the Land of Enchantment when it meets Western New Mexico Sunday, Mar. 22 beginning at 12 p.m. MT / 1 p.m. CT.

Game One: No. 12 Oklahoma Christian 12, Sul Ross State 0 (5 inn.)
Oklahoma Christian loaded the bases in the team's first at-bat, resulting in two runs on an RBI-walk from Danae Lopez and an RBI-ground-out for Madi Drummond. One more run in the second gave OC a 3-0 lead until the fourth inning.

In the fourth, the Eagles opened it up with a nine-run frame, seven of which came on two outs, across seven hits and an SRSU error. In the single inning, George recorded a single and a double for three RBI to help OC find a 12-0 advantage. The Lobos saw one more hit before play was called after five innings of play.

Game Two: No. 12 Oklahoma Christian 9, Sul Ross State 0 (5 inn.)
More than half of Oklahoma Christian's runs came in the first inning, with a five-spot coming before Sul Ross could manage three outs, once again with all five runs coming on two outs. Ingram retired the first six Lobo batters while OC opened a 7-0 lead after two innings of play.

Another two runs by the maroon-and-gray in the third put the Eagles in run-rule territory. After Sul Ross loaded the bases in the bottom of the third, Ingram got out of the inning unscathed before her and Schibbelhute combined to hold SRSU scoreless in the second run-rule game of the afternoon.
