Eagles Draw with Patriots

EDMOND - Oklahoma Christian and UT Tyler battled to a scoreless 0-0 draw on Wednesday evening at Eagle Soccer Field, with both teams combining for 18 total shots in a tightly contested Lone Star Conference matchup.

Both goalkeepers posted clean sheets to anchor their respective backlines. Breanna Wooten recorded two saves for Oklahoma Christian (7-4-1, 4-3-1 LSC), while Robbi Curry stopped two shots for UT Tyler (5-3-2, 4-2-1 LSC).

First Half

The opening 45 minutes saw high intensity from both sides, with the crossbar proving to be the primary defensive backstop. Oklahoma Christian created the first dangerous opportunity in the 13th minute when Jenna Munson struck the top woodwork. UT Tyler responded under three minutes later in the 15th minute as Ella Anderson launched a shot that hit the top crossbar as well.

The Eagles pushed forward again late in the period, seeing Callaway Scott's 36th-minute strike rattle off the woodwork. Oklahoma Christian outshot UT Tyler 6-5 in the opening frame while holding a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Second Half

The woodwork struck again early in the second half when OC's Jordan Tanges beat the defense in the 53rd minute, only to see her effort bounce off the frame. Tanges also tested Curry in the 46th minute with a shot to the bottom center, but the Patriots' keeper made the save to keep the game level.

UT Tyler generated late pressure in the final minutes of regulation. In the 88th minute, Anderson fired a shot toward the bottom right corner, but Wooten turned it away. Moments later, Celine Diaz took a final crack at goal, but her attempt went wide as time expired.
