WICHITA FALLS, Texas - Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026 became the first day in NCAA Division II history an Oklahoma Christian women's basketball player secured a 30-point, 19-rebound performance as the Lady Eagles defeated Midwestern State on the road, 75-64.
Taylor Jackson delivered career highs on both fronts, leading all players with 30 points on 9-of-17 shooting and 12-of-16 at the free-throw line while also pulling down 19 rebounds, 13 of which came on the defensive end.
Sofia Lopez backed up Jackson's historic showing with 11 points, seven rebounds, two blocks and two steals. Defensively, OC held MSU to just 19.0 percent (4-of-21) shooting from beyond the arc compared to its own 30.8 percent (4-of-13) clip.
Oklahoma Christian started out fast to the tune of an 8-0 lead before the Mustangs scored a point. The fast start helped the maroon-and-gray hold onto a lead it would never relinquish.
After Midwestern closed the gap to four with 2:14 remaining in the third quarter, 44-40, the Lady Eagles turned the tide for good with a 10-1 run to close the third period for a 13-point advantage.
Refusing to go away, the Mustangs closed the gap to five one final time before the consistent offense of the maroon-and-gray retained the lead all the way to the final buzzer, 75-64.
Oklahoma Christian (8-11, 4-8 LSC) will return home to the Payne Athletic Center to host Eastern New Mexico and No. 6 West Texas A&M Thursday, Feb. 5 at 5 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 7 at 1 p.m.
