Lady Eagles Secure Roadtrip Sweep Behind Jackson’s Continued Dominance

SILVER CITY, N.M. - Powered by a dominant second quarter where the Lady Eagles outscored the Mustangs 15-3, Oklahoma Christian secured a road win Saturday afternoon, 75-65.

The maroon-and-gray had three players in double figures, led by Taylor Jackson with 16, Kenzie Willis with 14 and Allyah Leusogi-Ape with 10. With her 16 points, Jackson has now scored double-digits in 10 consecutive games for the second-longest streak by a Lady Eagle since joining the Lone Star Conference in 2019.

Oklahoma Christian primarily did its damage down low, tallying 40 points in the paint. The Lady Eagles' bench also delivered a big boost, scoring 33 points in the contest.

The victory comes 48 hours after the Lady Eagles tied their second-highest scoring output of the season, completing their road trip sweep after downing Sul Ross State Thursday, 80-69.

Oklahoma Christian (7-10, 3-7 LSC) will return home to The Nest and take on (RV) St. Mary's,Thursday, Jan. 22 at 5:30 p.m. CT.
