ARCATA, Calif. - After posting its best team attack percentage since Sept. 9, 2023, Oklahoma Christian swept Dominican in its final match of the Redwood Coast Volleyball Classic Saturday, Sept. 13, 25-19, 25-11, 25-16.
The Eagles hit .416 on the afternoon, including .510 between sets two and three, for their best mark in over two years since hitting .430 in a sweep against Arkansas Tech. The highly efficient offense paired with holding Dominican to a .023 percentage yielded the sweep.
Chloe Jones hit a staggering .700 as she claimed seven kills on 10 total attacks without a single error, making it the best attack percentage from an OC outside hitter on a minimum of 10 total attacks in program history.

Annie Davis' team-high nine kills with eight winners while hitting .667 without a single error and five blocks. including four solo rejections.
Three points into the match and Oklahoma Christian trailed, 2-1, before mounting a 9-1 run for a 10-3 lead. From there, OC did not trail again until the third set, Following a 25-19 first-set win, a near flawless second frame saw the Eagles hit .588 with one just attack error as a team while holding DUC to a -..080 percentage for a dominant 25-11 victory.
Dominican held just its second lead of the match early in the third set before and even sat tied with the maroon-and-gray 10-10 before four straight kills, three of which came from Jones, put OC ahead for good. The Eagles closed its time in the Golden State with four straight points to take the final set and the match, 25-16.
Oklahoma Christian (6-1, 0-0 LSC) will return to the Sooner State before playing its first home match of the 2025 season in the LSC Challenge when UT Permian Basin comes to The Nest Thursday, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m.
