PORTALES, N.M. - After falling by two total runs in two of the first three games against Eastern New Mexico, Oklahoma Christian dropped the series finale Sunday afternoon, 28-6.
Ryan Carolan was a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate along with two runs scored, while also reaching base courtesy of a walk.
Jackson Steele and
Michael Adair led the team with two RBI a piece, with both of Steele's coming off his first triple of the season.
Braden Fowler and
Jaxon Olive each pitched one scoreless inning to earn the no-decision, with Fowler recording one strikeout in the outing.Â
How it happened
- Oklahoma Christian got the first hit of the game in the top of the first before Eastern New Mexico went three-up, three-down in the home-half of the first. After a scoreless OC second, ENMUÂ rattled off 15 runs in the bottom of the second.
- The Eagles scored two runs in the third before the Greyhounds matched the maroon-and-gray with two more in the third to make it 17-2.
- Four more runs came for Oklahoma Christian before 11 more runs, including a 10-run sixth, spelled the end of the weekend series, 28-6.Â
