Cullom’s Career High Pushes Lady Eagles Past the New Conference-Foe Lobos

EDMOND, Okla. - The Oklahoma Christian Lady Eagles (9-15, LSC 6-14) battled back late in the game at home to take down the Lobos of Sul Ross State (2-21, LSC 1-19) in the first matchup between the teams.

First Quarter 

The cold temperatures did not phase the visiting Lobos, scoring two quick buckets off Lady Eagle turnovers. 

Jordan Francisco and Nakia Cullom began to heat up. They led the Lady Eagles back to regain the lead, combining for 11 points in under three minutes of gameplay. 

Sul Ross tied the game at 11, and the two teams battled back and forth for the rest of the quarter. 

Second Quarter 

The Lobos of Sul Ross had all the momentum in the second quarter of play, out-scoring the Lady Eagles by seven points in the half. 

Third Quarter 

The two teams continued to battle in the Nest, with the visiting Lobos throwing every knockout punch they could at the Lady Eagles.

Kate Bradley led the lady Eagles to stay in the fight, putting up 11 points on 4-7 from the field to bring OC to within four points of the Lobos. 

Fourth Quarter

Led by Nakia Cullom and Ciara Harris, who combined 16 points in the final quarter, the Lady Eagles beat the Lone Star Conference newcomers in the first matchup between the teams 78-71.

The Oklahoma Christian Lady Eagles will close out their 2025 home games hosting the Mustangs of Western New Mexico in the Nest at 1 p.m. The Lady Eagles will honor five outstanding seniors (Kate Bradley, Nakia Cullom, Jordan Francisco, Ewa Kielar, and Taylor Jackson) in a ceremony between the women's and men's games.
