DALLAS, Texas - Behind a conference season-high .323 attacking percentage, Oklahoma Christian delivered the program's first-ever victory over DBU, 25-14, 22-25, 25-14, 25-18.

.323 is the highest hitting percentage the Patriots have allowed this season and the highest percentage OC has posted in conference play in 2025. Individually, Chloe Jones recorded 17 assists - tied for the most kills in a four set match by an Eagle this season - while hitting .385, paired with two solo blocks, one block assist and eight digs.

True freshman Jaya Tarver had her best collegiate match of her young career with a team-high five blocks, including three solo rejections. As a team, the maroon-and-gray administered 11 blocks compared to DBU's five.

The Eagles started out fast, racing out to a 9-3 lead before growing the advantage to 16-8. Kathryn Christie used a kill and two block assists as part of OC's 4-0 run to close the first set, 25-14. DBU closed the second set on a 3-0 run, however, for the 25-22 win as play stood at one set a piece.

Oklahoma Christian claimed that first-set energy to stay in control of the night, using a 10-2 run after the first half of the third stanza to come within 25 points of taking the Friday night victory, 25-14. The Eagles kept on the offensive in the fourth and final frame with a 16-8 lead before shutting it down with the 25-18 final decision.

The maroon-and-gray (17-9, 9-6 LSC) will enjoy an extra day of rest with the Texas Woman's match having been Thursday before hosting Eastern New Mexico and No. 15 West Texas A&M Friday, Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m., respectively, for OC's final home matches of 2025.
