EDMOND, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian men's golf sent a team of six to Central Oklahoma's Skip Wagnon Invitational Oct. 6-7 held at Kickingbird Golf Course, as the Eagles placed 17th with a 54-hole score of 38-over 878.
First-year Eagle
Carson Lee led OC with an 8-over 218 after rounds of 3-over 73, 2-over 72 and 3-over 73 to finish tied for 58th in the 96-player field. Lee tied teammate
Colin Richards with seven birdies across the 54 holes.
The aforementioned Richards and
Mason Brown finished alongside the other with the duo carding an 11-over 221. After recording a 10-over 150 through the first two rounds, Brown recorded the best round of any Eagle with a 1-over 71 while logging one of the team's two eagles for the tournament on the 525-yard par 5 4th.
Garrett Thornhill was the final countable score for the maroon-and-gray as a team-most 10 birdies aided his 13-over 223. Thornhill carded a 2-over 72 in both the first and final round to place tied for 83rd.
Tim Clark recorded a team-high 14 pars on the final round as Clark finished tied for 89th with a 54-hole score of 16-over 226 followed by
Will Balliet, who competed as an individual, placed 93rd at 22-over 232 while recording the second eagle from the maroon-and-gray for the two-day event.
