DALLAS, Texas - All but one Eagle scored Thursday night against No. 8 DBU, but the high-flying offense of the Patriots proved too much for Oklahoma Christian as the Eagles fell, 99-72.
Jason Clark led the offense with 14 points while
Javon Grant got much of the offense going, contributing eight of the team's 15 assists for the evening.
Marco Foster extended his double-digit scoring streak to five games with 13 points along with four rebounds and three assists.
Oklahoma Christian shot well on the night, going 26-of-50 (52 percent) from the floor and 8-of-17 (47.1 percent) from three-point range. In a reverse of OC, DBU shot 47.2 percent from the floor with 34 made field-goals and 52 percent from three with 13 treys.
The Eagles punched the Patriots in the mouth to open play, thanks to Foster hitting his first three triples, to see a nine-point lead just before the under-12 media timeout. A 12-0 run over the next four minutes of game time from the home team, however, handed DBU a lead it would not relinquish.
A 13-point halftime lead for the Patriot grew until OC eventually fell to the Top-10 program, 99-72. Oklahoma Christian will now turn its attention to UT Tyler in the season's second meeting Saturday, Feb. 1 at 3 p.m.
