DAY TWO RESULTS
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -
Tammy Greenwood made another bid for the NCAA postseason Saturday afternoon, claiming a "B" cut in the 500-yard freestyle one day after earning a consideration time in the 1000 before the Oklahoma Christian men fell to No. 1 Drury, 240-72, and the women to No. 3 DU, 215-93.
As she did yesterday, Greenwood gave Eagle fans something to cheer about in the first individual event of the day, taking first-place in the 500 free with an NCAA consideration time and personal best 5:01.32. That time is currently the 42nd fastest time in DII.
Jaiden Branstrom joined Greenwood to see podium-topping finishes after taking first-place in the 400 IM with a personal-best time of 4:48.07, besting her previous best by 10 whole seconds.. Â
For the men,
Eli Rollen finished second in the 200 backstroke, an event he already has a "B" cut in from an earlier meet, before first-year Eagle and Arizona State transfer
Jarod Arroyo won the 400 IM, an event he too has already claimed an NCAA consideration time in, with a 3:56.60 swim.
With the regular season now behind them, Oklahoma Christian will prepare for the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships in Grand Junction, Colo., Feb. 11-15. Last year, the men finished in third while the women placed fourth.
