KINGSVILLE, Texas—Oklahoma Christain(6-7, LSC 3-6) played the Javelinas of Texas A&M-Kingsville(10-5, LSC 6-3) in the Steinke Center on Saturday afternoon in a Lone Star Conference matchup. The ladies from Kingsville claimed a big 21-point home victory.
First Quarter - OC 11-Kingsville 25
Both teams started fast and furious, opening up with the Lady Eagles and the Javelinas scoring on their first three possessions.
The Javelinas began to slow the game down, creating open looks for the home team and knocking them down easily. After finishing off a 20-5 scoring run, they took a 15-point lead in the first quarter. In the first frame of play, the Javelinas shot a stellar 75% from the field.
Second Quarter - OC 17 -Kingsville 38
Scoring slowed down for both teams as the shots would not fall for either team.
Jordan Francisco worked hard in the paint to fight for a few buckets to keep the Lady Eagles in striking distance.
Oklahoma Christian went into the locker room at the break down 21 points and looking for a spark in the second half.
Third Quarter - OC 24- Kingsville 44
The Lady Eagles found a spark in the post-play, with Eilkya Baseyila putting up six points in the quarter and helping lead OC to outscore the Javelinas in the quarter 9-6.
Fourth Quarter - OC 42- Kingsville 63
In the early minutes of the final quarter, the Lady Eagles went on a run, pulling the score within a few possessions. Still, the Javelinas bench was the difference in the game. They finished with 18 points, solidifying their 21-point win over the Lady Eagles.

Caitlynn Jordan- Coming off the bench, Jordan provided the Lady Eagles on the boards, grabbing seven off the glass for OC.

Jordan Francisco- The senior continues to step up significantly, finishing with 11 points on 5-7 shooting from the field. Francisco also finished with five boards and a steal.

Elikya Baseylia- In just 13 minutes of play, Baseylia gave solid production, finishing with six points and four rebounds.

Kate Bradley- The senior leader, was off the floor for only 41 seconds of game time and refused to give in, finishing with 15 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

The Lady Eagles will head back to the Nest for the next two conference matchups, hosting St. Edward's University on Thursday, Jan. 16th, with tip set for 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 18th, matching up with St. Mary's at 1 p.m.
